MLB to PDX: Showcasing a potential baseball stadium in Portland

 In Virtual Tour

There’s a growing movement in Portland, OR, to bring a second MLB franchise to the Pacific Northwest. With the Mariners almost three hours to the north, the closest team to the south is over 600 miles away in San Francisco.

The Rose City is ready, to say the least.

Enter the Portland Diamond Project. This group has already secured a handful of investors and locked down a potential stadium location. The proposed site is just outside of downtown Portland on a large plat of riverfront property, known as Terminal 2.

The 45-acre spot sits in an industrial area that most locals don’t often visit. But while the Portland Diamond Project has shared amazing renderings of the proposed site, there aren’t many images of the current location and its waterfront city views.

We decided to change that.

So, one sunny afternoon we took the drone over to create a short video of the empty terminal and highlight its proximity to both the Willamette River and downtown Portland.

After shooting the video, we also did what we do best: create a 360-degree panoramic experience.
